WOW! Did January go by quickly!
We are moving quickly into the second month of the New Year, and quickly through our series on “Growing in the Light.” This year, we have been deceived by the warmer than usual winter weather, and it seems as though we are already celebrating the spring!
We long for Spring because season holds signs of life and hope. We do not to think long or search too far for hope when we remember that Christ holds our hearts & lives. Life and hope is within each one of us!
Scripture has many references to the life Christ brings. Among the most well-known: “I am the Way, the Truth and the Life,” “Because I live, you will also live,” and “He who believes in me will never die.”
Winter may once again show its fierceness. Yet, when we look out on the snow-covered ground, spot the slick spots underfoot and struggle with finding warmth, we won’t have to wonder “Where is spring? Where are the signs of life?” We will already know: life is within each one of us because of Christ.
