Our Pastor
My name is Kathie Jones; the Bishop and Cabinet have appointed me as your pastor. During my 15 years of ministry in the United Methodist Church, I have served in three appointments; the two most recent ones - Jefferson Center & Markle - with 10 and 4 years of service respectively. In each of these churches I found people who were eager to grow in their faith, those excited to embrace the journey God was calling them into, and others who were content to remain in a comfortable place of faith.
My husband, Harold, and I have 3 grown sons. Our oldest, Ryan, lives in Nebraska with his 3 boys. Our second son, David, lives in North Carolina with his wife Amy; they are expecting their first child in August (guess where we’ll be heading for vacation!) And our third son, Chad, is single and living in Warren, Indiana. As of a little less than a year ago, our family grew to also include Sophie, a delightful Wheaten Terrier pup.
Harold, Sophie & I are leaving my parents and the youngest of our three sons in the Markle area. We trust God to continue his care of them as we seek to follow his will for our lives, and we ask for your prayers for them, the churches we are leaving, and the journey that is to begin for all of us.
